Kay is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in floral design, set design and prop styling.
kay always loved making things pretty ever since she was a young girl. she used everything she could find as her medium, setting up barbie scenes on her nightstand, coloring on scrap wood in her grandpa’s woodshop, and making her own halloween costumes.
kay found flowers while she was attending college and quickly fell in love with the art of arranging. she was in awe every time she discovered a new flower variety and admired their colors and textures, always noticing new things blooming along old streets. but mostly she loved how every arrangement she made captured a season, a feeling, and moment in time.
in 2012 she began working in a flower shop and in 2015 she opened her own studio, by kay. since then, kay has won two national flower arranging competitions and has traveled the world designing flowers for weddings and teaching floral design.
Kay’s work has been featured in many online and print publications, including Martha Stewart, Marie Claire, Style Me Pretty, Once Wed, Portland Bride and Groom, Wonderland, Architectural Digest and others.
